Hoops Edge Central, 85-82

In a nail-biting D1M contest at Central, Hoops escaped with a 85-82 victory over Central on Sunday, January 4. Kedrian Johnson led the charge for Hoops with a game-high 31 points. The lead changed hands 10 times before Hoops eventually pulled away for good.

Central took a 40-37 lead into halftime, but Hoops mounted a stunning second-half comeback, outscoring Central 48-42 after the break. The second quarter was the decisive stretch, with Central outscoring their opponents 26-19 to swing the momentum in their favor.

The game featured several highlight plays. The game featured 6 dunks in total, with T. White (Hoops) throwing down a powerful slam in the first quarter. A. Naba (Central) connected from beyond the arc in the second quarter during a crucial stretch. A. Castillo was a force on the defensive end with 8 blocks.
